These Regulations came into force on 1 June 1998 and apply to Northern Ireland only. 

They impose requirements and prohibitions on how dangerous goods are to be transported by rail and implement Directive 96/49/EC, on the transport of dangerous goods by rail.

The majority of these Regulations have been revoked
